Day 1

So, on Friday the 13th we headed up to Salt Lake City Airport to get on our flight to Atlanta. The flight was at 12:40 on Saturday the 14th. That will be Day 1.

Day 1

Little did we know, we had a LONG trip ahead of us. We got on the flight at 12:40am, and the plan was to sleep the whole 3-4 hour flight. I could not go to sleep at all, and because I couldn't go to sleep, Andrew couldn't. haha sorry. So I pretty much kept him up the whole time. The good news was that they had a tv on the flight with satellite and we got to watch it. The bad news is that it was so late at night that all that was on was paid programming. I got maybe an hour of sleep on the plane.
We got to Atlanta at 6am their time, 4am our time. Had breakfast (way tooo early) found our gate and slept under chairs on the floor for the 5 hour layaway. Poor Jessica could not go to sleep, so she was pissed haha. It was pretty pathetic the way we were sleeping on the floor.

So then we get on the plane from Atlanta to Belize which was a 3-4 hour flight as well. Well the weather was bad in Atlanta, so we had to wait an hour on the plane to get going to Belize.

This is Jessica doing a miserable face with John in the background...still not quite in Belize. This flight was miserable and it was starting to get VERY long of a day and this was just half of it.

So finally we get to Belize!

So after we got off, we went to customs and got our bags and then took 3 different taxes to fit all 10 of us and it was SCARY. Seriously, I thought we were going to die, it was so freaky. These people were all over us asking for money and stuff. but we made it to the water taxis safely and we were hungry. We had about 45 minutes till our water taxi was ready. So this guy took us to this sketchy Chinese restaurant and the food was not that great at all.
Then we got on the water taxis which took an hour and a half.

So we finally get to Villa Incommunicada! We LOVED it!! We hurriedly got our clothes changed. It was about 5ish by this time and there was no time difference from Utah and Belize.

So, after exploring, we went to town from dinner at this place called Caramba's! It was a Mexican food place. It was okay, definitely not the best place we went to. But we were SOOO hungry!
When we got back from dinner, I started unpacking because my clothes got wet from the rain on the airplane somehow. After unpacking I was giving Jessica her ugg slipper back that she put in my suitcase and they had been just laying on my floor in my room. Well as I was bringing them to her a MOUSE jumped out of them onto my arm. I screamed so loud, it was horrible! Disgusting! I like threw it down the stairs. We also found a cockroach in almost every ones room. But I cannot complain bc the place was still awesome!!
